Open PDFThe Uganda Endangered Plant Species Handbook documents 88 nationally threatened plant species, examining their national and global conservation status, habitats, uses and threats. It sets out their propagation requirements and identifies priority conservation actions. The handbook provides practical guidance for conservation practitioners, researchers, educators, communities and decision-makers concerned with the protection of Uganda’s rare flora. Its priorities include strengthening conservation within natural habitats and through cultivation and other ex situ measures, reducing destructive harvesting and supporting coordinated action at the national level.
